The Myth of Perfect Alignment

We’ve been sold this idea that alignment equals a life full of peace and serenity. But the truth is, those moments of calm are only part of the picture. Life is messy, and growth often comes from the tough times.

Astrology, numerology, and my own life have shown me that challenges are not signs of misalignment. They’re part of the process. Some of my hardest seasons weren’t detours—they were the path.

My Story: Finding Alignment in the Chaos

2022 and 2023 were rough. I had some of my highest highs and my lowest lows.

In 2022, I hit rock bottom with work and started looking for a new job. Thankfully, I found one quickly and was riding high—until my mom was diagnosed with a rare cancer that summer. I dropped everything to help her, but she passed away unexpectedly in October, just 1 hour after our last conversation.

Then came my own health challenges. I was preliminarily diagnosed with endometriosis in late 2022 and underwent surgery in early 2023. It was Stage 4. Recovery was brutal, and between grieving my mom and healing my body, I spent a lot of time alone.

But in that solitude, I rediscovered numerology and realized something: 2022 (my personal year 6) and 2023 (my personal year 7) were perfectly aligned with what I experienced. Year 6 brought responsibilities, highs, and lows—including great loss. Year 7 forced introspection, rest, and inner work. Knowing this gave me a new perspective: my struggles were part of my alignment.

The Storms That Shape Us

Here’s the thing: When life gets tough, we grow. Just like trees dig their roots deeper in rough weather, we become stronger and more resilient when we face life’s challenges.

I’m not saying to ignore your pain or pretend everything’s fine. But what if we stopped seeing hardship as a sign we’re off track? What if we saw it as part of the journey—a necessary step toward becoming who we’re meant to be?

Practical Tips for Embracing the Storms

When life feels like it’s falling apart, here are some things that might help:

  1. Practice mindfulness: Take a few minutes daily to breathe, meditate, or just be present. It won’t fix everything, but it can help you find a little calm in the chaos.

  2. Reflect on yourself: Journaling, deep conversations, or quiet moments of introspection can help you process what you’re feeling and uncover what you’re learning.

  3. Lean on your support system: Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Whether it’s friends, family, or a therapist, having people to lean on makes the hard times easier to bear.

  4. Explore new perspectives: Read books, listen to podcasts, or try spiritual practices that help you see things differently. Growth often comes from broadening your view.

Your Turn, Goddess

Take a moment to reflect: What storms have you weathered, and how have they shaped you? Could they be part of your path to alignment?

Why not journal your thoughts or talk it out with someone you trust? Remember, every challenge is an opportunity for growth. Life isn’t about avoiding the hard stuff—it’s about learning from it.

You’ve got this. Keep going, and know that even in the storms, you’re aligning with your highest self.
